Safety is our highest priority! |
|
We want your
sailing experience with us to be memorable, and exceptionally fun, so we put safety
first to make sure that is the case. We know our ship well enough to know what conditions
prevent us from taking it out for a sail, and how to keep everyone safe and comfortable
during a sail under given conditions. |
- All our captains (and many of our crew members)
are American Red Cross trained in CPR and First Aid.
- Our sailboat exceeds coast guard requirements for the Great Lakes, and we have the Coast Guard Auxiliary inspection
sticker on our ship to prove it!
- Our life preservers are “TYPE I” U.S. Coast Guard approved life preservers with
reflective material, whistles, and strobes for the best in visibility. You will
be offered life preservers before leaving the dock, and they will always be readily
available during your sail should you desire one.
- Safety Equipment and Supplies:
VHF radio with 15-20 mile range, Two GPS systems, First aid kit, daytime and nighttime
flares, smoke flares, floating seat cushions, throwable life ring, fire extinguishers,
radar reflector, etc. |
